Introduction
KEPIC certification system, being similar to ASME’s N-type certificate system for pressure equipment (KEPIC- MN), has been extended to class 1E electrical and I&C items (KEPIC-EN), seismic category I reinforced concrete and steel structure (KEPIC-SN), and HVAC (KEPIC-MH). Nuclear safety-related organizations should obtain KEPIC Certificate from KEA in accordance with general requirements of each nuclear standard.

General procedure for KEPIC Certificate

Major procedures
01Examination
Examination team of three to four examiners including a senior examiner for three to four days
02Judgment of examination results
Qualified certification : Enterprises that have no major mistakes or complete the corrective action for minor mistakes during the examination
Disqualified certification : Enterprises that have major mistakes or do not finish the corrective action for minor mistakes
03The technology quality-specialized committee issues the qualification certificate after reviewing·approving the examination results.
04Valid term of certificate : Three years
For the senior examiner(s), the quality-specialized committee approves qualification.
Examiners belong to regulatory agencies, authorized inspection agencies, KEPCO, KEPIC, and other organizations.
